Ashidori AshidoriA candlestick primer

See why an indicator reads what it reads.

Which term of the formula is using which part of the chart, right now. That is the whole of what Ashidori shows you.

The box marks the bars going into the value right now. Drag the timeline and it moves with you.

What it does

Not something you read — something you move

The formula is wired to the chart

Tap a term in the formula and the matching line comes forward. The others fade rather than disappear, so the shape stays comparable.

You can see which bars are being used

Drag the timeline and a box moves with it, marking exactly the bars that went into the value at that point.

The parameters are yours to move

Change MACD's 12 / 26 / 9 on the spot and watch the line go blunt. Better than memorising the defaults is seeing why they are what they are.

Including the methods that grew up in Japan

Ichimoku, Sakata's five methods, Heikin-Ashi. Ichimoku gets a whole page just for its time shift, which is where most explanations go wrong.

Indicators

Sixteen indicators and twenty named shapes

Each one comes with how to read it — and where it stops working. Where one bar carries two names — a hammer and a hanging man are the same bar — both are shown side by side.

Six, free

Reading a candlestick · Moving averages · MACD · Bollinger Bands · Multiple MA · Volume

Eleven more indicators with the purchase

Ichimoku · Sakata's five methods · Heikin-Ashi · GMMA · Parabolic SAR · RSI · Stochastics · Deviation · RCI · DMI · ATR

Twenty named shapes (with the purchase)

Marubozu · Spinning top · Doji · Long-legged doji · Dragonfly · Gravestone · Hammer · Hanging man · Inverted hammer · Shooting star · Engulfing · Harami · Dark cloud cover · Piercing line · Tweezers · Meeting lines · Gap · Morning star · Evening star · Abandoned baby

Where it stops working — RSI sits above 70 for bar after bar in a strong market; Heikin-Ashi swallows gaps; +DI never approaches 100 even when price rises every day. Teaching the use of a tool while hiding its limits hands over only half of it.

FAQ

How is the trial counted?
Seven days from the day you first open it. A one-time purchase has no official trial, so the app counts it itself — turning the clock back does not give days back.
Is this a subscription? Do I need to cancel?
It is not a subscription. It is a single purchase, so there is nothing to cancel.
What happens when I change device?
On the same Apple Account, use Restore purchase in Settings.
Can I see real share prices?
No. Every price movement in the app was made up for teaching; none of it is a real security.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Please request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
